Cold, M.L.King Day

It’s the coldest day of 2020 so far.  Temperatures will struggle to rise into the middle 40s today and with a north wind 10 to 15 MPH, it’ll feel more like the upper 30s today.  If you like cold weather it’s here to stick around for a couple days.  The northwesterly flow pattern that is responsible for the cold weather will continue to send shots of Canadian cold air our way.   With clear skies and winds relaxing a little, low temperatures will once again range from the low to middle 20s tonight.

During the early morning hours don’t be surprised if you see a few snow flurries.  A weak disturbance will move over the region late tonight/early morning hours and try to squeeze out any available moisture in the atmosphere.  This setup could possibly lead to a few flurries, especially north of here.

A slow warmup will start to happen Wednesday before our next weather maker affects us.
