Woman Dies In Car Crash After Falling Into Ravine

TWO CAR COLLISION KILLS ONE ON BELFAST AVENUE BEHIND CRACKER BARREL IN NORTH COLUMBUS

Police are investigating a deadly collision in North Columbus just behind the Cracker Barrel restaurant.

The incident happened January 16 around 7 p.m. on Belfast Avenue, near Bradley Park Drive in a busy shopping area.

That’s where witnesses tell First News a two car collision ended with one vehicle in a deep ravine.

The Muscogee County Coroner pronounced the driver of that vehicle, Darlene Reynolds, dead on the scene at 7:15.

Furthermore, The 70-year-old woman’s death has been ruled accidental.

According to the Coroner, Reynolds‘ cause of death is blunt force trauma to the head.

Also, the other driver of the other car stayed on the scene.

Then, police questioned that person.

Next of kin has been notified at the time of writing.
