Lanett Standout Kristian Story Named Alabama’s Mr. Football

LANETT PANTHERS QUARTERBACK AND DEFENSIVE BACK NAMED ALABAMA'S 2019 MR. FOOTBALL

Lanett’s standout Kristian Story has been named Alabama’s Mr. Football for 2019.  The prestigious individual award is given out to the most outstanding player from the year.

This past season, Story broke the AHSAA career record for total yards and touchdowns, surpassing Auburn QB Bo Nix in both of those categories.

The 6’1, 210 pound Alabama commit racked up 175 career touchdowns and 13,219 total yards.

He could play a number of positions at Alabama. As a defensive back he had a total of 28 interceptions in his career at Lanett.

He talked on what being Alabama’s Mr. Football meant to him.

“It’s very exciting because I think this is any players in the state’s dream to become ‘Mr. Football.’ I just thank god for blessing me with this,” said Story. “We’ve always been told that as a small school that we wouldn’t have a good chance at this award, but for me to do it… it does my heart good and I know it will do the city good.”

Kristian Story will report to the University of Alabama in May
