A Gloomy Wednesday

A Flood Warning is in effect until 9PM ET Wednesday along the banks of the Chattahoochee River where minor flooding is expected. A Flood Warning is in effect until 1AM ET Friday along the Flint River in Taylor and Talbot counties, as well.

Unsettled weather will persist through Thursday. That lingering frontal boundary looks to stay draped across the southeast through early Wednesday before trying to push north ahead of an approaching cold front from the west. The best chances for rain Wednesday and Wednesday night will be across north GA/AL as the front lifts northward.

A cold front will push south across the area later Wednesday night into Thursday. We’ll get a short break from the rain Thursday night and Friday before another cold front quickly pushes through on Saturday bringing more rain and isolated thunderstorms. High pressure takes over Sunday into early next week as a much colder (and drier) airmass brings temps way down.
