More Heavy Rainfall and a Marginal Chance for Severe Weather Today!

Areas of dense patchy fog this morning will lift by 10:30 this morning.  Afterwards, showers and thunderstorms will once again work into the west central Georgia and east central Alabama area today.  Currently the timing has the bulk of rain starting after 1 PM.   An isolated severe thunderstorm is possible this afternoon, with the main effects being large hail and damaging wind gusts.  The Storm Prediction Center out of Norman, Oklahoma has our area in a marginal risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather.  Another concern is the potential for more flash flooding in the area.  A flash flood watch is in effect for many counties toward  our northeast.  Otherwise expect another very mild day, with a high near 71.  Chance of rain is 60%.
