(CNN) – Tesla motors says it met the ambitious annual sales forecast issued by chief executive Elon Musk.
Some analysts believed the automaker was in danger of missing the mark.
But on Friday, the company said it sold more than 367,000 cars last year.
Musk’s 2019 forecast was between 360,000 and 400,000 vehicles.
Its fourth-quarter vehicle sales set a quarterly sales record and rose 15% from the prior quarter.
The news pushed Tesla stock to a new record high on Friday.
