Golden Globe Dinner Will Be Plant-Based
THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS DINNER WILL BE ENTIRELY PLANT-BASED DUE TO CLIMATE CONCERNS
(CNN) – The pre-show banquet at this year’s Golden Globes award is making a political statement.
Organizers say the entire meal with be plant-based and no products from animals will be served.
But the executive chef says there won’t be any compromises on luxury.
The menu includes chilled golden beet soup with shaved candy-striped beets and pistachios.
The main dish includes faux-scallops made from mushrooms served on risotto.
The president of the Golden Globes says the decision was made to raise awareness about food consumption and the climate crisis.
The Golden Globes air Sunday and will be hosted by Ricky Gervais.
