Rain Ending Overnight, Dry/Cool Weekend

Low pressure pulls away from our area Saturday, so rain ends overnight. Sunshine begins to return Saturday afternoon and stays with us on Sunday making for a rather nice end to the weekend with highs in the low to mid 60s and lows in the mid to upper 40s.

A strong cold front will push thunderstorms through the region Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning. Strong, damaging winds, periods of heavy rainfall and frequent lightning are all possible. Cannot rule out some tornado activity. We’ll continue to monitor this developing front.

Once the front passes Tuesday, colder and drier air settles in Wednesday through the end of the work week with highs in the low to mid 50s and lows in the upper 20s to mid 30s. Some areas could wake up to icy conditions on Wednesday morning.
