Callaway Falls in the AA State Semifinal against Brooks County

TROJANS TOP THE CAVALIERS IN A HEARTBREAKER 39-35

Head Coach Pete Wiggins and the Callway Cavaliers fall short once again from punching their ticket to Callaway’s first ever state title game. It was a back and forth battle between Callaway and Brooks County, but the Trojans came out on top 39-35.

The Trojans jumped out to an early 20-0 lead in the first half, but Callaway senior Cartavious “Tank” Bigsby added a spark with a 70-yard touchdown run to the endzone. Five-star recruit Bigsby is an Auburn Tiger commit and the number one running back in the nation according to Rivals.com. Quarterback Demetrius Coleman made a few clutch touchdown passes. His 41-yarder to Markus Morman helped close the gap at halftime 26-21.

Omari Arnold paved the way on the ground for the Trojans. The sophomore back is quick and agile, which helped send the Trojans to the state championship.
