Beautiful Hump Day, Rain to Start Weekend

After a “dry” cold front moved through yesterday with no rainfall, a nice air mass will keep things sunny and mild today. Highs will top out in the 65-70 range over the area with blue skies. Clouds start to increase on Thursday and in earnest Friday as moisture increases ahead of a storm system moving through to start the weekend.

While rainfall is a sure bet late Friday night into mid-afternoon Saturday, current indications are the rain will hold off and come after high school playoff football games on Friday night. It will be a close call, however, and we’ll refine the forecast as we get closer to the weekend. Another cold front moves through late Saturday, putting an end to the rainfall and dropping temperatures back into the upper 50s and lower 60s for highs with lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s both Sunday and Monday mornings.

A slight chance of rainfall returns for midweek next week, with another warmup to the upper 60s to near 70 for highs expected heading into Turkey Day.
