Valley Rams Host Set to Host Vigor Wolves in Round One of the AHSAA State Playoffs

VALLEY RAMS LOOKING FOR FIRST PLAYOFF WIN SINCE 2011

The Valley Rams football team will host the first round of the AHSAA state tournament on Friday after winning a region championship.

It’s the first time since 2011 that the rams have won the region and hosted a playoff game.

They’re a pretty young team, but they do have some playoff experience on their roster having made it to the post season last year.

It’s been quite a turn around for Valley, when Buster Daniel took over in 2017 the team hadn’t made the playoffs in three years, let along compete for region titles.

But it’s no time to celebrate just yet as they gear up for the Vigor Wolves.

“They’re [Vigor] very athletic, they’re well coached and they’re going to do things the right way. They have a lot of tradition down there, coach Derrick Scott does a great job with his guys and his staff,” says Valley Football Head Coach, Buster Daniel. “They’re young kind of like we are. They have six seniors we have 7, so we’re both young football teams. The best team will win on Friday Night, the one that doesn’t make mistakes.”

Kickoff against Vigor is slated for 8pm Eastern at Ram Stadium.
