Rainy Thursday Night, Cool Weekend, Cold Next Week

ARCTIC AIR MASS TO BRING WIDESPREAD FREEZE BY MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK

Get out and enjoy your hump day! It will be the warmest and most pleasant day out of the next 8. Clouds will increase Thursday as a cold front drops down through the area, bringing a good chance of rainfall mainly Thursday evening through Friday morning. Once the front clears the area, temperatures will drop from highs in the 70s today and tomorrow to upper 50s to mid 60s for Friday through Sunday. Lows during the weekend will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

An even stronger but dry cold front pushes through the area early next week. Behind this front, modified Arctic air will effectively end the growing season for the entire viewing area, bringing a widespread freeze. Current indications are lows in the mid to upper 20s will be common on Wednesday morning as the coldest of the air mass settles in. Highs will struggle to eclipse 50 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday as well.
