Fall Severe Weather Preparedness Day in Georgia Set for Wednesday

Tomorrow (Wednesday, November 6) is Fall Severe Weather Preparedness Day in Georgia. The Southeast region sees a secondary peak of severe weather in late October through November.

In support of this, many schools and businesses will be conducting severe weather exercises and tornado drills in the morning. The National Weather Service will issue a special NOAA Weather Radio Routine Weekly Test at approximately 9:30 AM.  There will be no “all clear” message and no additional NOAA Weather Radio Routine Weekly Test will be issued for the day.
