Severe Weather Possible Today and Halloween

More rain will be funneled in as we are sandwiched between two frontal boundaries. On and off showers likely today, tonight and tomorrow with some isolated thunderstorms possible. There is a MARGINAL risk for severe weather today through tomorrow with damaging winds up to 60 mph the main concern, so be sure to stay weather aware. Cannot rule out frequent lightning, localized flooding and a few spin-up tornadoes.  Even if no severe weather occurs, we can still expect to feel wind gusts up to 25 mph across both days.

Right now, I’m still going with a 40% percent chance for scattered showers during trick or treating hours Thursday night. If that cold front moves through earlier than expected on Thursday, it’s possible the rain will have ended by the time kids head out hunting candy. It will still be quite soggy, though.

Behind the front comes a big blast of Fall starting Friday through the weekend. Sunshine returns with highs in the low to mid 60s and lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. The coldest nights of the Fall season to date. Light up that fireplace!

Keep smiling,
