Larissa Liska joined the WLTZ First Sports team in September 2019. She reports and anchors throughout the week at 6, 10 and 11 p.m. EST. Liska enjoys covering the big SEC teams, Georgia, Auburn and Alabama, as well as keeping up with the local high school talent.
Liska was raised in Three Rivers, Texas. She grew up competing in sports like volleyball, soccer and track and field, with a focus in the long jump.
She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she studied Journalism, minored in English and received a certificate in 3D videography. In Austin, Liska interned with FOX 7 Sports covering the Texas Longhorns and high school football. She joined the UT Club Racquetball team as a sophomore and competed at Nationals for three years.
Larissa began her career at KSAT 12 in San Antonio as a sports producer where she kept up with the Spurs, Cowboys, Longhorns, Aggies and high school teams. Then she headed north and started her on-air career at WBKB in Alpena, a small town in Northeast Michigan. There, high school sports were prime time.
After a year and a half, warm weather brought Larissa back to the south to WLTZ in Columbus, a place she and her dog now call home.
