Clear Start, Cloudy End for Thursday; Rain Coming

RAINFALL LIKELY FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND

A very cool start to your Thursday with 40s throughout the whole viewing area will turn into a mild day with highs in the 70-75 range. Clouds will rapidly increase from south to north later today ahead of a gathering storm system over the Gulf of Mexico that will be our weather maker for Friday into the weekend.

Chances for rainfall will enter the picture Friday and will stick around through the weekend. It won’t be an all-day washout, but the rain could be heavy at times when and where it falls. There will be a sharp line of demarcation somewhere close to our area of steady, heavy rainfall and spottier precipitation.

The rain chances will stick around through the middle of next week as a very active weather pattern brings quick-hitting disturbances all the way up through Halloween.

Highs will be in the 70s for the most part over the next 8 days, near 80 in some spots on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with lows in the 50s and lower 60s.
