Auburn Public Safety Kicks Off their Annual Toy Drive
Auburn Public Safety kicked off their annual toy drive.
Fire and police have been doing this every holiday season for the past 40 years.
Law enforcement officials are asking the community to drop off new, unwrapped toys to any of the five Auburn Fire Division stations or either Auburn Police Division.
Anyone wishing to register a child to receive a gift can go by the Auburn Police Division on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The last day to register is Oct. 30.
This drive provides toys to more than 300 children ages two to eight in the Auburn area.
Public safety will deliver the gifts the week before Christmas.
Folks also wonder if they can drop off money.
But, only toys are being accepted.
If you don’t have time to buy a toy, Cpt. Dorsey said you can call ahead, purchase the toy and a representative or volunteer from the toy drive will be happy to pick it up.
