Chilly Tonight, Pleasant Thursday

It will be another chilly night as temperatures will dip to the mid to upper 40s with low 40s possible in outlying areas as well as our northern counties. More sunshine is on tap for Thursday with some cloudiness in the afternoon. Highs will hit the upper 60s to low 70s.

A cut off low across north Texas will help sling a cold front toward the southeast which will trigger showers late Thursday night into Friday. The front will stall to our west/northwest on Friday then move off to the north as a warm front on Saturday. An area of low pressure developing along the east coast of Texas will push lots of moisture into our area with a trailing cold front possibly adding more showers to our forecast Sunday into early next week.

Rainfall totals aren’t looking that impressive for us at the moment. Up to .25″ mainly west and south of Muscogee County.  If the initial cold front on Friday pushes farther east into our area, then these totals could go up.

Keep smiling,
