Cold Front Coming, More Rain for Weekend

After seeing VERY beneficial rainfall over the past 24 hours, a cold front will work its way through the area for your Wednesday. Prior to it moving through, however, we maintain a chance for a few light rain showers along and ahead of the front. Skies will clear and winds will increase out of the northwest later this afternoon as the front passes, with highs in the 70s.

The wind will die down tonight as the sun sets, and with clear skies, temperatures will fall quickly. By tomorrow morning, widespread 40s (with lows around 50 in the urban areas) will be the rule. Highs will rebound into the upper 60s to mid 70s with brilliant sunshine. Friday should be a carbon copy of tomorrow, with temperatures just a tick higher in the afternoon.

Clouds will increase Saturday as moisture rapidly moves in with a tropical disturbance moving northeast from the Gulf. No organization is expected, but the disturbance will bring us another chance of significant rainfall into Sunday. After a quick respite, a cold front will approach on Monday, bringing yet another chance for rain and thunderstorms for Monday night into Tuesday. Clearing skies and cooler conditions will be the rule for next Wednesday behind the front.
