Warmth, Mild, Rain, Cooler
WEEKEND GETS COOLER, FIRST REAL TASTE OF FALL LATE NEXT WEEK
Mostly sunny skies will be the rule to end the work week. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s, with perhaps a select location or two touching the 90 degree mark on Friday. Lows will be in the 60s.
A cold front approaches the area on Saturday. The main low pressure system will be detached far to our north, however, so there won’t be much forcing for shower or thunderstorm development. We maintain a chance of a few showers as the front passes, with highs again in the 80s. The front will usher in slightly cooler air, with 50s possible for low temperatures both Sunday and Monday mornings.
A moist southwest flow will begin to overspread the area early next week, bringing a chance of showers for the first half of next week. By midweek, a stout cold front will move through the area and bring an end to the rainfall, also ushering in much cooler weather. This front may spark a pattern change where temperatures will be near or slightly below normal with highs in the 70s to around 80 and lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s for late next week into next weekend.
