Walgreens Will Stop Selling E-Cigarettes
WALGREENS SAYS DIFFERING REGULATIONS ARE MAKING IT TOO DIFFICULT TO SELL E-CIGARETTES IN ITS STORES
(CNN) – Walgreens will no longer sell e-cigarettes.
The retail pharmacy chain announced Tuesday it will stop selling the products amid “developing regulations in a number of states and municipalities.”
The laws come as governments struggle with questions of how to regulate vape products after several deaths have been blamed on them.
Walmart made a similar announcement last month.
Walgreens will continue to sell traditional cigarettes.
