Tigers in the Hunt After Two Rounds at Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate

The No. 8 Auburn men’s golf team is just nine strokes off the lead after two rounds at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate Monday afternoon. The Tigers are 9-under following 36 holes at Old Overton Country Club.
Auburn trails only BYU (542) and Colorado State (544) heading into Tuesday’s final round.
Jovan Rebula sits in third after two circuits of the par-70 course at 7-under (65-68–133). Eight of his team-best 12 birdies came on the front nine. The senior is just one stroke from the top of the individual leaderboard.
Wells Padgett is two strokes behind Rebula and is in a four-way tie for fifth at 5-under (68-67–135). The junior had nine birdies on the day with five on the back nine and four on the front nine.
Andrew Kozan is also in the top 20 as he stands in a tie for 15th at 1-under (69-71–140). The highlight of his round came on the sixth hole when he turned in an eagle on the 331-yard par-4.
Alex Vogelsong and Brandon Mancheno rounded out the Auburn contingent on Monday. Vogelsong is tied for 31st at 4-over (73-71–144), while Mancheno is tied for 35th at 6-over (76-70–146).
The Tigers are paired with BYU and Colorado State for the final 18 holes of the annual tournament, beginning at 8:50 a.m. CT Tuesday off the No. 1 tee box. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com.
