Record Heat Possible Through Friday

We could see record heat today through Friday as high pressure continues to wield it’s influence over the region. Daytime highs and nighttime lows will run 10-16 degrees above the norm through Friday with the humidity staying uncomfortable, too.

That ridge of high pressure will begin to weaken as we approach the weekend with two cold fronts moving through our area starting at the end of the week. The first weaker front will roll through Friday and could give us a few isolated showers while bringing daytime highs down a bit. The second stronger front pushes through Monday/Monday night bringing much cooler highs and lows.  Fall will be in full force next week.

Drought conditions will continue to deepen as not much rain is expected although daily isolated showers are possible especially Friday through early next week due in part to the double cold fronts.
