Record Heat Still Possible

DRY/HOT CONDITIONS STAY WITH US THROUGH NEXT WEEK

We hit a record high of 100° at the Columbus Metro Airport today as the unusually hot weather continues across the Chattahoochee Valley and the Plains.

With daytime temperatures running 10-15° above the norm all the way through at least the middle of next week, we could see more records fall over the next couple of days. Nighttime lows will run up to 10° above average, too.

High pressure will keep us mostly dry, but there is a low chance for isolated showers during the afternoon hours Friday and Saturday. Don’t bet the farm you’ll see the rain on your doorstep, though.

Keep smiling,
