More Dangerous Heat on Wednesday
HEAT INDICES PUSH INTO THE LOW 100S
A strong ridge of high pressure to the northeast will keep us dry and hot through Friday. Won’t rule out isolated showers during that stretch due to the daytime heat, but most of the area won’t see a drop of rain.
Daytime highs will run 6-8 degrees above the norm through Friday before we “cool” down for the weekend when a projected tropical wave churning away in the Gulf will push moisture rich air up into the region and give us a decent chance for showers and thunderstorms Saturday through Monday.
