Dangerous Heat Tuesday

HOTTER THAN NORMAL DAYTIME TEMPS THIS WEEK

Hot weather continues to punish the region with daytime highs staying 6-8 degrees above the norm through late week. It may not get as hot Tuesday due to more cloud cover and the chance that rain could cool us down in the afternoon, so not going with any Heat Advisories, but that could change. Nonetheless, it will still be dangerously hot so please stay hydrated if you head outdoors.

There will be enough energy aloft to tap into to keep a slight chance for isolated thunderstorms in the forecast for Tuesday, but high pressure will try to keep us dry for the remainder of the work week.  We could see some pulse storms across the weekend as a tropical low will look to influence the region Saturday and Sunday.

An approaching weak cold front could bring daytime highs down for the weekend, but they will still remain a few degrees above average.

Keep smiling,
