Thursday Heat, Dorian Remains Strong

DAYTIME HIGHS STAY WELL ABOVE THE NORM

The unofficial end of summer came on Labor Day, but summer is nowhere near being done. Not only do we stay hot over the next several days, we’ll be 5-7 degrees above the norm. Not to mention heat index values pushing past the 100 degree mark. Guh!

Don’t expect any rain relief as we’ll stay dry through the weekend, although we could see isolated showers return to the forecast starting Sunday.

Hurricane Dorian begins moving up along the coast of South Carolina this morning with storm surge up to 8′, at least Tropical Storm force winds of 39 mph+ and heavy rainfall that could lead to deadly flash flooding. Like yesterday, we could feel wind gusts up to 25 mph+ in our area.

TODAY- Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 90s. Heat indices around 100. Windy with gusts over 25 mph possible.

TONIGHT- Clear. Lows in the upper 60s.

TOMORROW- Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 90s. Heat indices around 100.

Keep smiling,
