Hot, Less Humid
Great Start to the Weekend
We’ll be hotter than normal through the weekend and stay rain-free until a slight chance of rain enters the forecast Sunday. Not looking at record daytime highs, but we’ll hover 5-8 degrees above average. Nighttime lows will also be a few degrees above the norm, too. We will enjoy some cool temps tonight and Friday night, though.
The eye of Hurricane Dorian (now back down to a Cat 2) is currently passing southeast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He’ll push along the coast of North Carolina starting early Friday morning and could make landfall across the Outer Banks by early Friday afternoon still as a Cat 2 hurricane. Tropical Storm force winds of 39 mph+ will spread across the area. Dangerous storm surge up to 7″ and rainfall up to 15″ could cause life-threatening flash flooding.
