Summer Heat, Dorian Slightly Stronger

Hotter than normal, but no records

Still a lot of interest in Hurricane Dorian, but the big weather story for us is the HEAT! We are stuck in a hotter than normal pattern that will not loosen its grip over the next several days. Daytime highs will run 5-8 degrees above average through the weekend with heat indices cracking the 100s on most days. No heat advisories are anticipated, but still use extreme caution of you plan to venture outdoors.

Hurricane Dorian has strengthened a tad off the central east coast of Georgia, but remains a Cat 2. Like today, we won’t get any rain from him, but could have some winds gusting over 20 mph on Thursday.

Our next chance for rain could come as early as Sunday, but only going with isolated showers and maybe a few daily thunderstorms through the middle of next week.

Keep smiling,
