Facebook Rolls Out Face Recognition For Users
FACEBOOK WILL OFFER A FACIAL RECOGNITION FEATURE AND A WAY TO OPT OUT OF IT TO ALL USERS
(CNN) – In a blog post Tuesday, Facebook said it will offer facial-recognition features to all of its users, but it says it will keep the capabilities turned off by default.
Users will have to specifically turn the capability on.
The company says a forthcoming alert will be sent explaining the feature to users and allowing them to opt in.
When it goes live, the feature will be automatically turned off if a user failed to respond to the alert.
