Hot, Dry & Humid Rest of Week, Dorian Moving Northward

Unseasonably Hot

We’ll remain locked in a hot and dry pattern over the next several days with really no rain in sight. High pressure will see to that. Not looking at record heat, but daytime highs will go 5-7 degrees above the norm. Heat index values will push near 106 on some days. Guh!

Hurricane Dorian is still quite dangerous although he has weakened to a top end Cat 2. After being stationary since Monday morning, Dorian is finally starting to move toward the northwest at 6mph… pulling away from the battered Bahamas.

Hurricane Warnings stretch along the Georgia/Carolina coast as Dorian is expected to pass by Wednesday into Thursday still as a Cat 2. The eye is anticipated to stay offshore, but storm surge and dangerous wind gusts will hammer the coast.

As for our area, we could feel wind gusts over 20 mph Wednesday into Thursday, but no rain.

Have a great evening,
