Jimmy Carter Resumes Work With Habitat For Humanity
JIMMY CARTER BACK TO BUILDING HOUSES WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY AFTER HIP SURGERY LAST SPRING
(CNN) – Former president Jimmy Carter is getting back to volunteer home building.
The 94-year old had hip surgery last spring after falling in his home.
Now a spokesperson says Carter and his wife Rosalynn will construct 21 new homes.
He’s been volunteer house building with Habitat for Humanity for decades.
The organization says together, the carters have worked alongside more than 100,000 volunteers in 14 countries to build, renovate or repair 4,331 homes.
This October they will built homes in Nashville’s park preserve neighborhood.
