Exclusive Crime Scene Video Shows Victims Cornered

Police investigators are working to determine what exactly happened inside a Mellon Street Apartment where two men were shot multiple times.

The Homicide Unit responded to a person being shot at 10:23 Sunday night at the Mellon Street Apartments in South Columbus where the victims were standing in close proximity with their killer inside the apartment.

Exclusive video obtained of the crime scene shows the men were shot inside the apartment and in close quarters.  According to a police press release , Law Enforcement is not sure where the third person was shot and how exactly it is related to this incident. The third shooting victim was discovered a short distance away near Cusseta Road and is currently in Critical Condition at Piedmont Hospital.

Multiple witnesses were home during the shooting but declined to speak with first news on the record. According to police they were initially told the victims were chased inside the apartment but cannot confirm that narrative.

The Muscogee County Coroner identified the two dead men as natives of Albany, Georgia

Lamonte Muff  and  Lyatray Buchanan were dead on arrival from multiple gunshot wounds at the hospital.

Police have remained tight lipped about the investigation and have not yet revealed if they are looking for more than one shooter or if there is a person of interest on their radar.
