Heavy Rainfall and Strong Storms Possible for the Weekend

Slightly Cooler Temps Expected through Early Next Week

‘Brella weather stays with us this weekend and into early next week.

A weak frontal boundary that has been working its way toward our area finally arrives and slowly sinks through Saturday into Sunday before stalling to our south. Several quick shots of energy will ride along the boundary and kick up scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms across the weekend.

No widespread severe weather is expected, but a few strong storms with damaging winds, frequent lightning and times of heavy rainfall are possible. There could even be an isolated severe storm. That’s something we’ll be keeping an eye on. Storms look to be slow moving so localized flooding is not out of the question. Rainfall totals over to next five days could range from .5 to 2″.

Have a great weekend!
