WALMART TO REOPEN EL PASO STORE IN THREE TO FOUR MONTHS
El Paso, TX (KVIA) – The El Paso Walmart that was the site of a mass shooting earlier this month will re-open in three to four months.
On the morning of August 3; a gunman shot and killed 22 people and injured 24 others.
Walmart says it plans to build a memorial for the victims and it’s asking the community for input about the design.
In the process, officials say the building will be “taken down to and basically rebuilt.”
Walmart also says more than 90% of store employees are already back at work at other locations.
But the company says they want to return to the El Paso store when it’s back up and running.
