Stormy Weekend Ahead?

SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES INCREASE FOR FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY

It’s game day for some of you out there as high school football kicks off tonight in a few locations. After a warm and humid day today with highs in the low to mid 90s, we’ll see temperatures cool down to near the 90 degree mark as games kick off, then falling through the 80s as the games go on. An isolated shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out on the football fields, especially during the first half. Lows tonight will be in the 68-74 degree range before an even better chance for showers and thunderstorms enters the picture on Friday. As high school games begin in earnest tomorrow, some may encounter rain and storms as well.

The weekend will feature showers and thunderstorms on a scattered to numerous basis, but the silver lining is that the rain will keep temperatures down in the upper 80s to lower 90s for the weekend into early next week.
