Storms Back by Sunday
HOT AND DRY WEATHER TO START THE WEEKEND
Your Friday will be a hot and dry one throughout the area. The heat will be more manageable, though, with lower humidity values than earlier in the week. While air temperatures will be in the mid to perhaps upper 90s for highs, heat index readings will be close to or a couple of degrees above that as opposed to the 105-110 readings we saw Monday and Tuesday.
If you’re doing anything outdoors for the weekend, plan it Saturday instead of Sunday. Conditions will be like today for Saturday, while the lid comes off the moisture from the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday with an increase in shower and thunderstorm chances. The storms will be with us through next week, but temperatures will be moderated into the 90-93 degree with clouds and rainfall around.
