Slightly Cooler, Still Hot
Highs and Lows Near Seasonal
A stationary front will remain sprawled across the area today and hang with us through the weekend. Some areas to our south and east (a line from Eufaula to Macon) could see a few showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, but most of us should remain dry. Daytime highs will fall back to around seasonal and look to stay there over the next several days with the humidity retreating just a bit, but maybe not for long.
High pressure to our north will help keep us dry through Saturday before it slides off to the east and allows enough moisture to return to the area and bring a decent chance for showers and thunderstorms back into the forecast on Sunday. We will then hold on to a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms through at least the middle of next week.
TODAY- A slight chance for showers and perhaps a thunderstorm in afternoon under partly sunny skies. Highs in the low 90s with heat indices could hit the low 100s.
TONIGHT- Partly clear. Lows in the low 70s.
TOMORROW- A very slight chance for showers in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Highs in the mid 90s with heat indices as high 100.
