Georgia Teen Wins Google Doodle Contest W/ Tribute To Mom

A MOTHER-DAUGHTER DRAWING TOPS GOOGLE'S ANNUAL DOODLE COMPETITION

(CNN) – A Georgia girl gives thanks with Google.

Arantza Peña Popo is the winner of the search website’s annual doodle for Google competition.

The high school senior’s design is called “Once You Get It, Give It Back.”

Google’s theme this year was “When I Grow Up, I Hope….”

Arantza contribution depicts her dream of helping her mother do all things she hasn’t yet been able to do.

The doodle shows an older version of Arantza, in the future caring for her mother.

In front of a framed picture of the two of them in their younger years.

Arantza says her mother “lights up any room she is in.”

More than 200,000 submissions entered Google’s competition.

Google will give Arantza a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology award for her school.
