Climate Report: Food Will Be Scarce, Pricey, Less Nutritious
A MAJOR REPORT ON LAND USE FROM THE UNITED NATION SHOWS CLIMATE CHANGE COULD HAVE DAMAGING IMPACTS ON FOOD
(CNN) – Food could become limited, less nutritious, and more expensive.
That’s according to a new report from the United Nation’s panel on climate change.
The study found climate change could affect what kinds of crops farmers can grow.
Researchers say some areas will become too hot for farmers to grow food.
And other climates will see more flooding, more snow, and more moisture in the air, which will also limit what can be grown.
The report says emissions need to be lowered to keep the earth from warming.
