McDonald’s Cheap, Classic Food Driving Sales
MCDONALD'S CHEAP, CLASSIC FOOD IS DRIVING SALES
(CNN) – “I’m lovin’ it.”
McDonalds’ slogan is proving itself true.
Sales are up.
On Friday, McDonald’s said sales in U.S. went up nearly 6% in the second quarter.
Wall Street only expected to see a 4.5% jump.
The burger chain says there are 3 reasons for the boost.
Menu favorites, the two-for-5 mix & match deal and modernized stores. Which now have fancy new tech to make them look sleeker.
Mickey D’s has also been trying to streamline things for customers and their employees, but trimming down the menu to focus on classics and make them better.
They switched from frozen to fresh beef in the Quarter Pounder which made sales shoot up by 30%.
If the numbers are right, customers really are “lovin’ it.”
