Rain-Free Weekend Ahead

RAIN CHANCES HELD OUT OF THE PICTURE UNTIL NEXT TUESDAY

A rare July treat came through the area earlier this week in terms of a cold frontal passage, and that rain-free and drier air mass will be here to stay throughout the weekend as well.

Under a mostly sunny sky, highs this weekend will be a couple of degrees either side of the 90 degree mark, while lows will be in the mid 60s in the rural areas to around 70 degrees in the urban areas around Columbus.

One more rain-free day is in store for Monday, but a noticeable increase in humidity will begin to take shape by early in the week.

Rain chances return for Tuesday through the rest of the week, with perhaps higher chances for rainfall late in the week as another front approaches the area. It’s too early to tell if the front will sweep through the area like this week’s did, but it’s almost a given that rain chances will be enhanced as the boundary approaches the area.
