Stormy PM Friday

Sticky, Muggy, Humid, Sultry

Additional thunderstorms will be back on the prowl Friday midday and afternoon, lingering into part of the evening hours.   Much like Thursday, the steering winds will push the storms from north to south.   Any thunderstorm can be accompanied by heavy downpours and wind gusts over 40 mph, so heads up.   The coverage to these storms will be greatest by mid to late afternoon with many getting wet.

A stationary front situated to our north will dissipate this weekend, so there really isn’t much of a triggering mechanism for afternoon thunderstorms.  That is, of course besides the heat and humidity!   Less coverage to afternoon storms is forecast before another uptick next week as a cool front arrives and stalls to our north.   Stay tuned.
