CES To Allow Adult Toys At 2020 Showcase
CES CHANGES POLICY TO INCLUDE ADULT TOYS IN ITS 2020 SHOW
(CNN) – For the first time ever, more risqué tech products will get a spotlight at next year’s consumers electronic show.
Tuesday the Consumer Technology Association announced it will allow tech-based adult toys to be previewed at its 2020 showcase.
The products will be included in its health and wellness category.
The association says this is for a one-year trial basis.
The products must be innovative, but any pornographic material is banned.
Also personnel standing at the booths cannot wear revealing outfits.
Tuesday’s announcement came after CES faced gender bias accusations this year.
The controversy rose after the show awarded a female adult toy its innovation award.
They then revoked it and banned the company from any future shows.
CES apologized four months later and returned the award.
