A Hot and Humid Thursday, Storm Chances on the Rise

Heat Index Into the Low 100s

Hot, humid and a chance for afternoon showers. Rinse and repeat…

The difference today will be moister air will blanket the area trapped under a ridge of high pressure. Because of this, I’m gonna bump up the chance for rain a bit this afternoon and evening. High pressure begins to build right back in, but still gonna hold onto a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms through the weekend as there will be plenty of moisture to tap into to go along with the heat of the day.

By mid next week, a front will move through to help trigger more rain and also cool us down a little to give us some relief from the heat.

Daytime highs will hover around seasonal or slightly above Friday through the weekend. Heat indices could range from 100 to 105. Overnight lows stay a couple of degrees above average.

TODAY- Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon under mostly cloudy skies. Highs in the mid 90s. Heat indices in the low 100s.

TONIGHT- Mostly cloudy overnight. Lows in the mid 70s.

TOMORROW- Scattered showers and thunderstorms under mostly cloudy skies. Highs in the low 90s. Heat indices in the low 100s.
