ICE Raids Begin In 9 U.S. Cities

ICE HAS BEGUN RAIDS TO ROUND UP UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS, OFFICIAL SAYS

(CNN) – Immigration and Customs Enforcement have begun conducting raids cities across the country.

The operation is taking place in nine cities including Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles and New York.

Officials say the focus will be on undocumented immigrants who already have court orders to be deported.

The raid could last several days.

Some city and state leaders have called the operation ‘fear mongering’ and have said they will not be cooperating.

The city of New Orleans tweeted that “immigration enforcement will be temporarily suspended through the weekend” due to the tropical storm Barry.
