Barry Strolling Through The Northern Gulf

Thunderstorms On Occasion

The coverage to afternoon and early nighttime thunderstorms will gradually increase Friday due to high humidity in place, and a stationary front to our north.   The prospects of isolated severe weather is not out of the realm of possibilities, in the form of strong wind, but it would be the exception to the rule.  The rule being, muggy weather!

Meanwhile, Barry will continue to strengthen up until landfall in Louisiana Saturday; perhaps as a low end hurricane if it can overcome drier air and wind shear on its northern flank.   For the time being, Barry poses to direct impact to the region with the exception of helping to keep muggy weather across the valley.    There will be an occasional shower and thunderstorm with a heavy downpour both days of this weekend.   However, a quieter weather regime should return next week with higher heat.
