SERENA WILLIAMS FINED $10,000 FOR DAMAGING WIMBLEDON COURT WITH HER RACQUET
(CNN) – Serena Williams is a legend on the court, but Wimbledon court says she might have played too hard.
She’s been fined $10,000 for allegedly damaging a practice court with her racquet.
Organizers say the incident happened June 30th during a training session.
Williams has won more than $88 million throughout her career.
Asked about the fine, she said, “I haven’t really thought about.”
She also said she doesn’t know what damage she’s accused of causing.
Williams was previously fined the same amount for smashing her racket on the court during a 2016 victory.
