The Heat is On!

Heat Indices up to 105 this week

The typical summertime pattern continues today and for much of the week: hot, humid and a slight chance for isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms each day. A dome of high pressure keeps building across the southeast, so any rainfall we see will be due to the daytime heat triggering that chance. There could be an uptick in moisture starting Independence Day, so will increase the chance for showers and thunderstorms only slightly Thursday through the weekend.

Through the 8 day forecast period, daytime temperatures will stay at least 4 degrees above the norm with heat indices ranging from 100-105.
