More Heat Next Week
A tropical wave associated with an area of low pressure over Florida will slide slowly westward over the next couple of days. It’s this feature that will enhance some thunderstorm activity across the Chattahoochee Valley this weekend, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.
In the wake of this feature, a large dome of high pressure will allow the heat to slowly simmer upward. Although there can be a stray afternoon thunderstorm any day next week, most of the time looks to be hot and rain-free. The heat index will easily peak in excess of 100 degrees, so stay cool.
